Totem Acoustic Accessories
A bowstring and a braid — those are the names, and they say straight away what this range wants to be: things that carry without adding anything. Cables are the last thing to fix in a system, not the first, but the Totem range exists because a system built with care should not be finished with an afterthought. Two choices: Tress carries power from amplifier to speaker, and Joenit sells it bare, by the metre, so the run fits the room; Sinew carries the small signal between source and amplifier. Both aim to add nothing.
At the top of the totem pole sits the bird, and at the foot the animal stands on its claws — and that is how this small range is built too. Totem's accessories are not extras; they are the last two variables in an installation — what the cabinet stands on, and what sits on top of it. The Claws decouple the speaker from the floor or the shelf it lands on; the Beak works on the top panel. Neither takes more than a minute to fit and neither is permanent, which is the honest way to buy a tweak: put it in place, listen, take it away again.
