Metal is not found, it is forged: heat, strike, cool, again — until what comes out is sharper than what you began with. The Metal V2 is the spearhead of the Element range, and that point has been ground on a single idea for ten years.
It is the top of the range and at the same time the point of it: two 7-inch second-generation Torrent woofers in a 110 cm cabinet with no parallel surfaces anywhere, so nothing stands still inside it. Those two drivers, again with no crossover in their path, take the bass to 26 Hz and the sensitivity to 91 dB — a speaker that plays loud on modest power and still scales with as much as 300 W. At the floor the front claw adjusts, so you set the rake of the cabinet yourself, and a rear skid plate keeps floor resonance out. Thirty-three kilos each.
Ten years of refinement on one idea, and not a gram of it is ornament. That is how a spearhead is made: by taking away everything that does not travel forward with it.
