Totem Acoustic TO TRIBE IN-WALL SUB 12" loudspeaker
There is the drum that keeps the rhythm, and there is the big drum that takes the ground out from under your feet. This is the second kind. It, too, lives in the wall, and it, too, is never seen.
The Sub 12 is for the room that has to be felt. A single 12-inch Kevlar-honeycomb driver on a 5.25-inch voice coil works against a matched 12-inch passive radiator in the same 96 mm of depth as the Double 8, and reaches 22 Hz — low enough that a film's floor arrives rather than being implied. It asks for a bigger hole, 370 x 690 mm, and it wants an amplifier to itself: unlike the Double 8, one Sub 12 per 500-watt Totem amp, which again ships with it. Same wood-stud rule, same satin white or black grille that takes your wall paint.
Choose the Double 8 when it simply has to fit; choose this one when the brief says cinema. The big drum asks for space, and gives you a floor in return.
