TO TRIBE INWALL V2
Where the Kin IW is the workhorse, the Tribe IW is the one worth fighting for in the budget. The hole is identical — 370 x 162 mm, 95 mm deep — but the drivers change: neodymium-actuated MHEX woofers either side of an oversized 29 mm silk dome in a d'Appolito array, which is why it starts at 60 Hz instead of 69 and runs to 30 kHz. It takes 140 watts and offers two sets of terminals for bi-wiring. In practice the difference you hear is space: the same recording opens wider and further back, and voices stop sounding as though they are coming out of a wall. If the wall is open anyway, this is the upgrade that costs nothing extra to install.
