The Fire V2 is a monitor carrying a floorstander's woofer. Seven inches of Torrent driver in a 42 cm cabinet is the whole idea: because the Torrent needs no crossover in the bass path, that driver runs straight from the amplifier and reaches 30 Hz from a stand. The 1-inch titanium dome above it sits behind a thick aluminium faceplate with a finned chamber to carry heat away, and it is the only part of the speaker that sees a filter. At 8 ohms and 88 dB it is the easiest load in the Element range to drive. Give it 200 to 300 hours; Torrent woofers take their time.
