Kin One
The Kin One is the smallest full-blooded loudspeaker Totem builds, and the one that surprises people most. Behind the magnetic grille sits a 4-inch MHEX cone — a hexagonal core sandwiched between two synthetic skins, stiff enough to stay honest where small woofers usually harden up — under a titanium-infused soft dome. What it does with that is throw an image far wider than its 24 centimetres; Totem tune the dispersion so a pair can stand close together and still fill a room. It is passive: give it 20 to 100 watts of a good amplifier, Totem's own Kin Amp among them, and it repays every one of them. A 1/4-inch thread in the back takes a wall bracket. Five satin finishes, orange and rose included, let it be furniture rather than a black box.
