Bison Twin Tower
The Twin Tower sits at the top of the Bison range, and it gets there in an unusual way. Rather than a bigger woofer or a three-way, Totem fitted two 5.25-inch woofers running in the same frequency band — so the midrange gains body without being handed off to a separate driver, and the bass reaches 31 Hz. The crossover moves to second order and the load drops to 4 ohms; at 90 dB it plays loud easily, but it wants an amplifier that is comfortable down there, and it will take up to 200 watts. Give it a large room: 30 to 90 cm off the back wall, and 1.2 to 3.7 m between the pair.
